Street Cleansing Operative

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Llanelli to assist with the appointment of a Street Cleansing Operative on a 3month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 12.18 14.62 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Liaising with Refuse Supervisor/Area controller on daily basis in order to report any operational problems (call backs/missed collections/spillages/litter problem areas/Landfill etc)
• Ensure that work undertaken in accordance with Departmental Health and Safety Policy and procedures including risk management principles to include relevant Safe Systems of Work and the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
• To assist with other duties within the refuse and cleansing section associated with street cleansing as and when required to enable the service to react effectively
• Complete all paperwork and maintain records as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• UK Driving License Category B (up to 3.5 tonne GVW)
• To undertake continuous CPC training as required
• Working in frontline environmental services
• Operation of mechanical power equipment
• Operation of other relevant plant and machinery
