Job Description
Cathelco part of the Evac Group a world leading marine industry supplier has an opportunity for a Machine Operative. Cathelco has over 60 years experience in the manufacturing of equipment for ships and off shore installations including marine growth protection systems and impressed current cathodic protection systems. Cathelco has a history of being at the forefront of cutting edge marine technology worldwide.
As a Warehouse Operative you will play a key role in ensuring our products are accurately picked packed and prepared for shipment. You will work closely with the Production Manager and Planner to maintain operational efficiency ensure stock availability and contribute to the overall success of our logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack customer orders to meet delivery schedules.
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift truck (if qualified) to move and organise stock.
- Stock Management: Maintain stock levels and ensure materials are available for production and dispatch.
- Shipping Preparation: Box and pack products securely recording weights and dimensions for transportation.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect goods to ensure they meet customer and company standards before dispatch.
- Health & Safety: Follow all company health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production and dispatch teams to meet deadlines and improve workflows.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve quality cost and delivery (QCD).
Experience & Skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including picking packing and stock control.
- Understanding of business KPIs (Safety Quality Delivery Performance).
- Forklift Truck (FLT) license (advantageous but not essential).
