Job Description
At Fairmont Hotels & Resorts an exceptional guest experience begins even before checkin and extends throughout every stay. As a Houseperson the organizational support you provide to the Housekeeping team will ensure our guest rooms are well equipped and welcoming and our guests feel valued.
What you will be doing:
- Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service
- Prioritize and respond to guest requests in a timely manner
- Assist Room Attendants to ensure guest rooms are prepared efficiently
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of Housekeeping storage areas
- Responsible for collecting sorting and distributing all Housekeeping linen going to and from Fairmont Regional Laundry
- Comply with all department policies procedures and service standards
- Follow and proactively promote all health and safety policies and initiatives
- Other reasonable duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous experience in a similar environment will be an asset
- Must possess outstanding guest service skills including professional verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible and reliable demonstrating initiative as required
- Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced teambased environment
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role including:
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent kneeling pushing pulling lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders stairs and ramps
