Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Tower Hamlets to assist with the appointment of an Youth Worker on a 1month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 17.76 23.53 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Working directly with young people to support their personal and social development improved emotional wellbeing and resilience and reduce barriers to access positive life choices learning and employment and prevent escalation to specialist services.
- To promote and develop the active involvement of young people in the design and evaluation of services and ensure young people have voice and influence actively seek their views support their decision making.
- To promote and develop the voice and influence of young people and to actively seek their views and support their decision making.
- To work with colleagues from a range of services as part of the locality Early Help Delivery Model to improve outcomes for young people.
- To ensure that risks are minimised and that risks and safety issues are reported to the Senior Youth Work Lead.
- Acts as a champion for young peoples participation voice and influence and promoting a positive profile of young people.
Qualification:
- A recognised JNC Youth Work Qualification (NVQ 2 or equivalent.
- Willingness and ability to obtain a youth work qualification and training for development in the post within six months.
- Building positive relationships with young people.
Please note:
- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an enhanced DBS
