Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Northampton to assist with the appointment of an Environmental Health Officer on a 3month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 19.35 24.74 per hour
Responsibilities:
- To inspect/audit and undertake interventions in commercial premises to determine compliance with food safety and health and safety legislation.
- To investigate food hygiene and health and safety complaints infectious or food borne disease accidents and dangerous occurrences.
- To coach mentor and support compliant businesses
Qualifications:
- BSc or MSc Degree in Environmental Health or Higher Certificate in Food Control or equivalent.
- Registered with EHRB/CIEH
- Experience in Health Protection to include food safety health and safety infectious disease control and health promotion
- Experience of a wide range of enforcement activity
- Experience of dealing with members of the public
