Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Greenwich to assist with the appointment of a Temporary Accommodation Placement Officer on a 3month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 17.27 21.76 per Hour
Responsibilities:
- To provide housing service advice and information to customers by telephone email or in person as part of a reception service. To signpost clients to other services and departments as required.
- To work late as and when the service demands. This is to assist late comers for temporary accommodation.
- To ring around daily to secure properties for the use of emergency overnight accommodation.
- To follow up any interest from prospective new landlords as directed by Senior Access & Support Officer provide them with the relevant information and inform them of the nightly rate.
- To allocate properties in accordance with client risks and general circumstances ensuring suitability in line with housing legislation.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and show an ability to build good relationships with other departments landlords and external organisation
- Experience in a variety of administration duties be computer literate and willing to learn new I.T skills.
- A good working knowledge MS Excel is required.
Please note:
- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires a basic DBS
