Service Engineer for Solar BESS
Pay : 60000 p/a quarterly commission and annual company bonuses.
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Birmingham Field based will be required to cover most of South of UK and Midlands with some travel across North UK.
About the Role:
As a Service Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our Solar BESS . You will be responsible for commissioning maintaining and troubleshooting these systems to meet client expectations and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and extend the lifespan of the system.
- Corrective Maintenance: Diagnose and repair system faults promptly to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
- Troubleshooting: Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Remote Monitoring: Monitor system performance remotely and respond to alarms and alerts.
- Field Service: Travel to project sites to perform onsite maintenance repairs and upgrades.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all service activities including maintenance logs repair reports and incident reports.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Client Support: Provide technical support to clients and address their concerns and questions.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of new service processes and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Strong technical background in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in the installation commissioning and maintenance of solar and energy storage systems.
- Indepth knowledge of power electronics control systems and battery technologies.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis techniques.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Valid drivers license.
