Job Description: SAP MM (Materials Management) Consultant with Japanese Expertise
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced SAP MM (Materials Management) Consultant with strong proficiency in the Japanese language to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP MM modules and experience in supporting clients providing expertise and ensuring efficient materials management within an SAP environment. Additionally proficiency in Japanese will be critical for communicating with Japanese clients and collaborating with teams based in Japan or handling Japanese documentation.
Key Responsibilities:

SAP MM Module Implementation & Support:
- Lead and assist with the implementation configuration and support of SAP MM modules for clients.
- Work on material master data purchasing inventory management and procurement processes.
- Analyze and design solutions for business requirements related to materials management.
- Perform system configuration and troubleshoot issues related to SAP MM.

Client Communication & Documentation (Japanese):
- Liaise with Japanesespeaking clients to understand their business requirements and provide relevant SAP MM solutions.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders in Japanese ensuring that all projectrelated information is accurately conveyed.
- Prepare and deliver presentations training materials and documentation in Japanese.
- Provide user training and create user manuals in Japanese for SAP MM functionalities.

Collaboration & Project Management:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (including procurement finance and IT) to ensure smooth integration of SAP MM with other SAP modules.
- Participate in project planning timeline estimation and resource allocation.
- Manage project deliverables ensuring timely and successful implementation of solutions.

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
- Diagnose and resolve issues in the SAP MM module.
- Provide ongoing support and ensure that SAP MM functionalities align with business needs.
- Handle complex SAP MMrelated issues with a focus on the Japanese market and business culture.

Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Perform system testing for SAP MM processes and ensure quality assurance in system performance.
- Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for Japanese clients to ensure requirements are met.

Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and recommend improvements in materials management processes using SAP MM.
- Keep uptodate with SAP innovations and the latest industry trends to provide highvalue solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience:
- 35 years of experience working with the SAP MM module.
- Proven experience in implementing and supporting SAP MM in a corporate environment.
- Prior experience working with Japanese clients or in a Japanesespeaking environment is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM functionalities including material management procurement inventory management and vendor management.
- Familiarity with integration between SAP MM and other SAP modules like SAP SD SAP WM and SAP FICO.

Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in Japanese (written and spoken) is a must. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in Japanese to clients.
- Knowledge of business communication etiquette in Japan.
- English proficiency is also required for collaboration with global teams.

Soft Skills:
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in Japanese and English.
- Teamoriented with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering Business or a related field.
- SAP MM certification is a plus.
Additional Information:
- Ability to travel to Japan or work in a hybrid/remote environment with flexibility.
- Familiarity with Japanese business culture and work ethics is a plus.
