Job Description

The BackOffice Engineer will support the Lead Project Engineer in the detailed planning of maintenance activities and definition of required resources. The daily activities will consist in the planning support source data collection data entry and support to reporting. He/She will answer to the Maintenance Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire and allocate resources to support operations collecting the data from technical library/database as deemed necessary.
  • Coordinate data collection and reporting with the onboard In Service Support (ISS) Manager.
  • Consult with manufacturers for specialist advice and guidance.
  • Support the LPE in the preparing editing issuing and archiving of the In Service Support Reports.
  • Data entry in SAP Excel data base in house management software.
  • Work closely with the management team to ensure smooth and successful implementation of company procedure.
  • Preparation and editing of purchasing requisitions and expediting of critical items.

Requirements

  • 23 years in the field of maintenance management of systems (technical or purchasing or logistic).
  • University degree in technical or management engineering.
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken (at least B1). Proficiency in Arabic would be an advantage.
  • Communicating effectively – Developing and delivering multimode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to change priorities quickly and work well under pressure.
  • Soft skill related to team working.
  • Understanding of technical documentation and manual.
  • Knowledge on activities planning defining priority and identifying critical path.
  • Knowledge of ships system and spare parts management.
  • Experience on complex system element breakdown.
  • Advanced capability in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Excel Office Access PowerPoint).
  • Skill in SAP not mandatory but considered a plus.
  • Driving license required for daily commuting to/from naval base.
  • Profiles experienced in contracts projects management supervising of maintenance will be taken into prior consideration.
