Job Description
Lead the development planning and execution of major mining projects ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and delivery of longterm value. Oversee projects from concept through execution managing multidisciplinary teams and maintaining direct accountability to the CEO.
Duties And Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop comprehensive project plans covering the entire lifecycle from concept to execution ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and strategic priorities.
- Lead prefeasibility and feasibility studies ensuring robust analysis of technical financial and sustainability parameters.
- Engage with the CEO and Board to provide updates secure approvals and align project direction with organizational vision.
Project Delivery
- Oversee the execution of projects maintaining strict adherence to approved budgets timelines and quality standards.
- Develop and implement advanced project management systems to ensure effective tracking and reporting.
- Collaborate with design construction and operations teams to address projectspecific challenges efficiently.
Stakeholder Management
- Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders including government entities investors contractors and local communities.
- Ensure transparent and timely communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
People Development
- Build and nurture a highperforming multidisciplinary team by coaching mentoring and empowering team members.
- Promote a collaborative and ethical work culture that reflects organizational values and enhances employee engagement.
Risk Management and Compliance
- Identify assess and mitigate risks across all project stages.
- Ensure compliance with health safety environmental and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
Qualification:
Bachelor s degree in engineering Project Management or a related field.
Master s in management Mineral Economics or a similar discipline is preferred.
Experience:
At least 15 years of progressive experience in project management including leading major mining or industrial projects.
Demonstrated expertise in managing full project lifecycles.
Technical Skills:
Advanced project planning and scheduling expertise.
Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cash flow management.
Strong understanding of mining industry trends and operational frameworks.
Business Understanding:
Comprehensive knowledge of the mining sectors economic social and regulatory environment
Experience: At least 15 years of progressive experience in project management, including leading major mining or industrial projects. Demonstrated expertise in managing full project lifecycles.
Education
Bachelor s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Master s in management, Mineral Economics, or a similar discipline is preferred.
