In this case we are looking for a Mechanical Technician for a cuttingedge scientific project that aims to demonstrate the feasibility of nuclear fusion power generation for the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER).
Location: Santander.
Work Modality: in Site
Responsibilities:
- Reception by the team leader of the instructions (drawings handbooks) or the
change to them. - Execute work with more or less supervision depending on the technical degree
of the task using the work package in collaboration with the team leader. - Study and analyze of the work package and follow the sequence of the
Instruction Production Plan to get the desired quality and delay. - Job preparation before execution.
- Carry out the fit up of complex geometrical parts before assembly (positioning
grinding). - Safely operate crane/hoist/trolley to move loads through crowded areas.
- Compliance with the quality standards according to the specifications.
- Clean the different parts before assembling them.
- Clean the workstation.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent Work Experience.
- Experienced in heavy boilermaking work.
- 3 to 10 years of experience in the requested position
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Maintenance of equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of the standards and codes applicable to the different processes.
- Writing of weekly and/or daily reports.
- Writing of details test reports and conclusion.
- Languages:Advanced English or French the person must be able to communicate fluently Spanish is a plus.
Qualifications :
- Crane operator.
- Working at height (Harness).
- Work in confined spaces.
- Working with forklifts.
- Work with lifting platforms.

- Ability to work in a team.
- Meticulous Precision Skill and manual dexterity.
- Sense of order and planning.
- Communication skills.
- Ability to adapt.
Key competencies:
- Multidisciplinary profile (welder; boilermakerassembler; machinist) or open to
training in these profiles will be valued. - Bridge crane/forklift course training.
- Work at height.
- Work in confined spaces.
- Availability and interest to work abroad for long periods of time.
