The VHIR Communication Unit forms part of the Communication Corporate Strategy and Citizen Assistance Department of the Vall dHebron Barcelona Hospital Campus and its main objective is to raise awareness of the research carried out at Vall dHebron in all its areas and all its forms. On the one hand it explains to society through its web page social media and the media in general the main scientific advances of its researchers and the institutions milestones. It does so through press releases and conferences interviews videos and communication campaigns as well as written and audiovisual informative material. Also it organises institutional events scientific seminars workshops and the annual conference but it also carries out divulgation actions in order to bring what the researchers do at the VHIR closer to society. It does so by participating in fairs and organising open door events and other activities to allow society to get to know us and raise awareness especially among the young.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Currently studying / Degree related to Journalism Communication or Health Sciences.
Desired:
- Fluency in Catalan Spanish and English.
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Ability to write news articles and press releases in Catalan Spanish and English.
- Experience in Internal Communication.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Twitter Facebook and LinkedIn).
- Familiarity with the Drupal platform or similar.
- Familiarity with layout and mailing tools such as GetResponse.
- Basic knowledge of Photoshop.
Desired:
- Experience in photography video recording and editing.
- Experience with Infogram.
- Experience in writing scientific texts.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Support the communication of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) the Equality Plan etc.
- Writing scientific web news and press releases
- Publishing on the website news press releases
- Internal newsletters.
- Social Media Management
- Taking and editing photos.
- Recording and editing videos.
- Support in the preparation of the Annual Scientific Report.
- Support in holding press conferences and events
Labour conditions:
- Parttime position: 15h/week.
- Starting date: January 2025.
- Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale
- Contract: Temporary.
