We are seeking a talented and passionate Commis I (Indian) to join our culinary team in Gandhinagar India. As a key member of our kitchen staff you will play a crucial role in preparing authentic Indian cuisine and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of Indian dishes for breakfast lunch and dinner services
- Support senior chefs in various kitchen sections including hot kitchen cold kitchen and tandoor
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely food delivery
- Assist in inventory management including stock rotation and supply ordering
- Participate in menu development and the creation of new dishes
- Ensure consistent food quality and presentation across all prepared items
- Adapt to changing priorities and assist in other kitchen areas as needed
Qualifications :
- Passion for Indian cuisine and a strong desire to learn and grow in the culinary field
- Basic knowledge of Indian cooking techniques and flavor profiles
- Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced highpressure environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Detailoriented approach to food preparation and presentation
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Basic food safety and hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of tandoor salads and cold kitchen preparations (preferred)
- Culinary diploma or relevant experience in a professional kitchen (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
