Job Description
Our client is seeking a wellversed General Construction Cost Estimator capable of highlevel and detailed estimating to join a New Yorkbased construction management team. This position is a key role in the team and will contribute to the growth and development of the Estimating Department and Construction Management practice area. For the right candidate there is longterm potential to grow into a Chief Estimator role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all general construction cost estimating firmwide.
- Assemble and roll up cost estimates including all trades on a project.
- Train and mentor junior staff within the Estimating Team.
- Be an integral part of the Construction Management practice area and contribute to the strategic growth of the Estimating Team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Construction Technology/Management Engineering or Architecture.
- 614 years of experience in General Construction Cost Estimating for multidiscipline buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in estimating from concept through detailed bidlevel estimates.
- Experience with cost estimating software detailed quantity takeoffs and applying historical cost data to prepare estimates.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative teamoriented mindset.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proven leadership abilities.
