Salary Range: $50000 to $60000 base (commensurate with experience)

The Ocean Export Coordinator will manage the daytoday operations of ocean export shipments ensuring compliance with industry regulations while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in international freight forwarding and the ability to coordinate shipments efficiently from origin to destination.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipment Coordination: Manage and oversee daily ocean export shipments including prealerting agents and shippers arranging pickups deliveries and container loading.
Documentation: Organize and prepare documentation for customers ensuring compliance with regulations; file and send final documentation as required.
Tracking and Reporting: Maintain accurate shipment tracking and provide regular updates to customers from origin to destination; maintain daily reports for pending shipments.
Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service through effective communication and timely followup.
Billing and Payments: Set up billing and manage payables for shipments.
Compliance: Adhere to all compliance guidelines and company policies.
Collaboration: Work closely with crossfunctional teams including steamship lines agents and shippers to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 23 years of experience in international freight forwarding logistics operations.
Previous experience with Cargowise or similar freight management software (advantageous).
Familiarity with hazardous goods handling or ISO tank operations is a plus.
Proven commitment to excellent customer service and effective communication.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team environment.
High school diploma or GED (minimum requirement).
Minimum of 23 years of customer service experience in a logistics setting.
