Job Description

MARPRO Group is looking for a Service Manager for the office in the area of Leiden. You will report to the Operation manager of the company.

The job

As Service Manager you are responsible for leading the service department. You will be working in a dynamic fastgrowing environment and will have the opportunity to structure and professionalise the department. You will be responsible for the overall service strategy and operations ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of highquality service to our clients. Your focus is on customer satisfaction team development and continuous improvement of our service processes. You will lead a team of service engineers and a service coordinator who are responsible for the daytoday execution of service activities.

You will directly supervise and mentor the Service Coordinator fostering their professional development.

Additional responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing service strategies and procedures
  • Managing and coordinating the service team including scheduling and performance monitoring
  • Overseeing service contracts and warranties for vessels and offshore installations
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients in the maritime industry addressing their service needs and resolving any issues
  • Analyzing service data identifying trends and implementing process improvements
  • Supporting international dealers in terms of service and organizing training sessions
  • Managing service budgets and controlling costs
  • Motivating and coaching the service team fostering a positive and collaborative work environment

Personal characteristics

  • You have completed a higher professional education (HBO) degree preferably in a technical field such as mechanical engineering electrical engineering or mechatronics
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience in a service management position
  • You have a proven track record in managing and motivating service teams
  • You have strong communication skills in English and Dutch
  • You have a strong affinity for technology particularly electronics
