A Senior Project Manager in Software Development within the iGaming industry is responsible for overseeing the planning execution and delivery of software projects related to online gaming gambling or betting platforms. These projects often involve complex integrations with thirdparty services such as payment processors game providers and regulatory systems. The role requires a blend of technical understanding project management skills and a deep knowledge of the iGaming ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Strategy:
- Define project scope objectives timelines and resources required.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans including milestones deliverables and risk assessments.
- Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.
2. Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead crossfunctional teams including developers designers QA compliance and business analysts.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members fostering a collaborative environment.
- Ensure that all team members have clear tasks and deadlines and provide regular feedback on their progress.
3. Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC):
- Oversee the endtoend software development process including design development testing deployment and maintenance.
- Ensure adherence to best practices coding standards and regulatory requirements specific to the iGaming industry.
4. Integration Management:
- Manage the integration of various thirdparty systems and APIs (e.g. platforms/operators game providers affiliate tracking systems KYC/AML systems and backend services).
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions to users.
5. Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify potential risks early in the project and develop mitigation strategies.
- Track and resolve issues that arise during development including technical resourcerelated or operational bottlenecks.
- Regularly update stakeholders on project progress issues and resolutions.
7. Stakeholder Communication:
- Maintain clear and transparent communication with stakeholders ensuring they are informed about project timelines risks and deliverables.
- Act as the main point of contact for all projectrelated inquiries.
- Regularly present project status challenges and achievements to senior management.
8. Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the final product meets all functional technical and regulatory requirements (including compliance with gaming laws data privacy regulations and gambling licenses).
- Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with stakeholders ensuring that the product is ready for release.
- Work closely with QA teams to identify and resolve bugs and performance issues.
9. PostLaunch Support:
- Oversee postlaunch activities such as monitoring system performance user feedback and incident resolution.
- Ensure that updates patches and new features are planned tested and deployed as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Project Management:
- Proven experience managing complex software projects using methodologies like Agile Scrum or Waterfall.
- Strong organizational leadership and time management skills.
- PMP Scrum Master or similar certifications are often preferred.
