The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that project obligations are delivered according to industry standards managing financial performance ensuring a safe workplace and developing strong relationships with employees and customers. This role involves liaising with crossfunctional internal teams (including Operations Engineering Sales and Administration) to enhance the customer experience. A strong background in physical security (Access Control CCTV and Intrusion Detection systems) and infrastructure is desired. Additional certifications may be required.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead multiple projects and teams both locally and nationally.
- Recruit hire and train project teams.
- Manage all aspects of project installation.
- Implement project plans while maintaining quality assurance financial performance and schedules.
- Collect data asbuilt drawings pictures and other deliverables for project closeout.
- Manage and approve project schedules and timesheets.
- Define all project tasks and resource requirements.
- Understand installation methods and commissioning for integrated systems including Security Audiovisual Access Control and Infrastructure Cabling.
- Provide daily/weekly reports on project progress and issues.
- Ensure project Foremen initiate daily team safety meetings and document minutes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Project Manager I to effectively execute projects and coordination tasks.
- Manage several small projects concurrently as well as mid to largesize clientspecific projects.
- Work with security manufacturers such as Hanwha Avigilon AMAG Software House Lenel Genetec Milestone Boon Edam and Alvarado turnstiles.
Qualifications:
- Verifiable Project Management experience or relevant industry experience to manage multiple projects with multiple customers simultaneously.
- Selfmotivated with demonstrated leadership and problemsolving skills to guide project teams to completion.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner with clients/customers and leadership teams.
- Able to define problems collect data and draw valid conclusions to identify potential risks.
- Collaborate with internal sales estimating and engineering teams.
- Review drawings/blueprints and other customerrelated documents to manage projects successfully.
- Ability to travel as needed for assigned customer accounts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skill Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalency required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word Excel MS Project).
- Must meet minimum driving standards including a verifiable driving record aligned with the companys Fleet Safety program.
- Strong problemsolving ability with mathematical and communication skills.
- Willing to travel as needed for assigned customer accounts.
- Ability to handle the physical workload related to daily responsibilities.
- Ability to work effectively with coworkers listen to and consider ideas and suggestions for improvement keep others informed of work progress address problems constructively and respect workforce diversity.
Combined Experience and Skills:
- 35 years of related experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents write correspondence and communicate effectively preferably in English.
- Competent in adding subtracting multiplying and dividing using whole numbers fractions and decimals.
- Proficient in computing rates ratios and percentages and in drawing/interpreting bar graphs.
- Capable of defining problems collecting data establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions in situations with limited standardization.
