About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Structural Superintendent to oversee and manage structural construction activities for our residential projects. This role involves ensuring quality compliance and safety across all structural components including concrete windows waterproofing metal and stairs. The ideal candidate is handson detailoriented and capable of managing fastpaced highrise residential construction projects from excavation to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the onsite superintendent team to ensure seamless project execution.
- Oversee quality control for all trades involved in structural construction.
- Coordinate schedule and monitor construction activities from excavation through rough and finish work as needed.
- Review structural shop drawings and proactively address potential conflicts.
- Attend and cochair weekly trade coordination meetings to maintain project alignment.
- Enforce onsite safety programs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Liaise with governing officials to facilitate inspections and approvals.
- Partner with architects and subcontractors to process RFIs and resolve design or construction issues.
- Maintain detailed daily logs and track project expediting activities.
- Develop and execute punch lists to confirm all work aligns with contract specifications including buyer modifications.
- Monitor equipment startups commissioning and preparation of asbuilt drawings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in construction management engineering or a related field (preferred).
- 23 years of experience managing structural and MEP trades.
- Successful completion of at least one $25M construction project from start to finish.
- Proven expertise in mid to highrise fasttrack residential construction projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Broad knowledge of building and mechanical codes as well as structural mechanical electrical plumbing and lowvoltage systems.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing complex construction tasks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills for directing skilled trades teams.
- Familiarity with sustainable building practices and innovative construction techniques.
- Ability to effectively navigate dynamic project environments and resolve challenges swiftly.
