Looking for variety and technical challenges
Were searching for a skilled iron worker/welder to support our Specialty Construction division an integral part of what makes us one of the fastest growing companies! TAIs Structural Steel Services division provides steel fabrication erection and structural project field services support for industrial and manufacturing industries.
Projects variety examples:
- Fabricate and install metal pieces into columns beams or other structural frameworks for a chemical manufacturing facility.
- Repair or replace existing steel parts of buildings and other structures for the leading producer of home improvement products in the U.S.
Heres a taste of what youll be doing:
- Install or fabricate metal pieces into columns girders or other structural frameworks
- Perform rigging pipe support anchoring and miscellaneous metals installation
- Read and understand blueprints and project layout
- Measure and cut metal parts to exact specifications
- Repair or replace existing steel parts of buildings and other structures
- Operate various metal forming and cutting machines such as Rollers Shears Brakes Drill Presses and Saws
- Operate tag lines forklifts and other machinery to safely move metal pieces into position
- Clean and maintain all tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good condition
- Adhere to AWS D1.1 and other industry codes
- Follow all industry and governmental regulations on safety protocols
Youll be a perfect fit if you have:
- High school diploma or GED
- Three of more years of iron work/welding experience within a commercial or industrial setting
- Have or interested in obtaining the AWS D1.1 certification (limited/unlimited)
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to travel to local sites a plus if you can travel to sites out of state on occasion
Compensation and benefits offering:
- Pay: $25 $38 an hour (based on experience)
- Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable depending on firms performance employee performance and tenure).
