Role Overview:

Launch your engineering career with guidance from industry experts at Benesch. You ll be handson in collecting engineering data creating models conducting analyses and preparing essential calculations and documentation. Proficiency in industryspecific software is a must. With every task you ll receive guidance and feedback from experienced professionals ensuring your growth and success. This exempt position may lead to a Designer I title depending on state licensing requirements. Take this opportunity to lay a strong foundation for your engineering career!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and assimilate data
  • Perform basic analysis of project elements
  • Create models conduct analyses and design calculations
  • Draw design details under the direction of others
  • Compute quantities and understand their relationship to pay items
  • Organize calculations for design files following project standards
  • Complete tasks on schedule and within budget
  • Coordinate drafting of elements
  • Perform field or site visits as needed
  • Use computer programs and spreadsheets for engineering analysis
  • Develop knowledge of applicable codes and standards
  • Become proficient in applicable CADD software
  • Competent use of Microsoft Office products
  • Basic writing skills for emails and project memos
  • Comply with all project and company safety guidelines



Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in a related field
  • Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred
  • Membership in professional and technical societies recommended

This role offers significant upward mobility within Benesch starting as an Engineer / Designer I and progressing to Senior Designer Project Engineer Senior Project Engineer Technical Manager and Senior Technical Manager.
