Understands business objectives and problems identifies alternative solutions performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements procedures and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures identify problems and learn specific input and output requirements such as forms of data input how data is to be; summarized and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs program functions and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities specifications and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
System admin. Duties may include server administration tasks domain/DNS tasks Administrating user/domain security and ITIL ticketing. The system analyst will provide support for critical TIERS systems 24x7 oncall rotation is required. Some weekend work is required. Support may require onpremises work at times.
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High level knowledge and experience of network facilities and data processing techniques of computer hardware and software of network operating system and security software and of performance monitoring and capacity management tools. Required 8Years
- Extensive knowledge and experience using LDAP/Windows Active Directory Microsoft SQL Server and Hypervisor Experience with HyperV and VMware. Required 8Years
- Knowledge and experience of administering Windows Systems (Group Policy Kerberos NTLM TCP/IP WINS DNS DHCP PXE) Linux Network Administration IT Governance and Security/Privacy policies and tools. Indepth knowledge of Active Directory LDAP DNRequired 8Years
- Additional / Preferred experience supporting the following: Ansible SFTP/FTPS Kubernetes and opensource software. Ability to direct and organize work activities. Required 8Years
- Strong ability to identify problems/issues analyze and evaluate alternatives and recommend/implement effective solutions. Required 8Years
- Experience supporting Windows and Linux systems with cloud service providers (AWS Azure etc). Required 8Years
- Experience providing server and application support on a 24X7 oncall basis and on a rotating schedule basis. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned. Required 8Years
- Experience with server hardware equipment replacement/upgrades. Required 8Years
- Experience ITIL ticketing using Remedy and ServiceNow. Required 8Years
- Ability to prepare concise written reports appropriate to the audience. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Preferred 6Years
- Ability to plan and coordinates server maintenance activities with Data Center Contractor and CSPs services including security patching and other activities related to the TIERS Security Program. May assist in Data Center Maintenance Coordination. Preferred 6Years
- Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise. Experience installing and implementing SQL Server clustered environment. Preferred 6Years
- Experience managing Web Application Firewall system (Imperva and/or AWS WAF). Preferred 6Years
