Adelphi is seeking highly qualified and experienced Speech Language Pathologists for the delivery of quality care to patients for a facility in Kaufman County Texas. The Speech Language Pathologists will assess diagnose treat and help prevent communication and swallowing disorders as well as Work with patients to develop and strengthen the muscles used to swallow to prevent choking under the supervision of the Clinical Director.

Requirements:
Master s Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
Current and unrestricted license to practice Speech Language Pathology with the State of Texas through TDLR.
Current CPR/BCLS certification.
Educated and compliant with all HIPPA regulations; maintains strict client confidentiality.
Must be willing to work at a mental health facility with patients that may have a dual diagnosis.
Must abide by the rules regulations and policies of the facility and Must abide by staffing agency and facility attendance and leave policy
Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements
COVID19 testing with negative result required & COVID19 Vaccination Card if applicable
Must submit to the facility required drug test and required fingerprinting and background check
Must complete applicable agency & facility required training
Responsibilities:
Conduct swallowing assessments including historytaking examinations direct observation and collaboration with the treatment team to establish a diagnosis and treatment plan.
Reassess patients periodically adjusting treatment plans as needed per physician goals and orders.
Document patient records clearly concisely and focus on target symptoms.
Ensure documentation frequency aligns with the level of care and appropriately addresses referrals.
Adhere to agency and facility documentation timelines.
Develop and monitor Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with accrediting agencies including Joint Commission CMS TSH policies and applicable standards rules and directives.
