We are looking for a motivated and detailoriented Tier 1 Network Support Specialist to join one of our clients Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of voice and data networking strong problemsolving skills and the ability to provide initial support for voice and data issues. This role is ideal for individuals eager to develop their skills in a fastpaced environment while ensuring the smooth operation of multiple service types.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network systems and respond to alarms or issues as they arise.
- Provide firstlevel support for customerreported issues related to voice and data services.
- Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 support when necessary.
- Log and track incidents ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers to gather necessary information and provide status updates.
- Participate in training sessions to improve knowledge and skills
Requirements
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP DNS DHCP and VoIP.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with customers professionally.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Ability to follow established procedures and work as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using network monitoring tools and ticketing systems (preferred not required).
- Associates degree in computer science information technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Certifications (preferred not required): CompTIA Network CCENT or equivalent
