Job Description |
What you will be doing: Data Loss Prevention Engineer - Manage monitor and implement data security software across the enterprise.
- Be the primary contact for ensuring data integrity and security.
- Collaborate with other departments to form a data classification system.
- Work closely with IT Infrastructure Operations and Security teams to ensure data software and standards meet company security standards.
- Test the safety and security of enterprise data including penetration testing and auditing.
- Provide emergency support and assistance when new and emerging threats arise.
- Participate in project teams to assess needs and requirements examine benefits and recommend ITrelated solutions.
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of data hardening technologies.
- Manage numerous DLP platforms including Microsoft Azure DLP Varonis etc.
- Manage user data access permissions and data access requests.
- Develop design and improve IT data security policies procedures and processes across the enterprise.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify sensitive data and apply proper security measures.
- Implement major system changes and integrations following corporate change management policies.
- Perform security access audits and develop/implement remediation plans.
- Serve as a liaison between staff and the technology department to resolve data securityrelated issues.
- Maintain and improve security access rights within file systems.
- Review daily released Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures and assess them against internal systems.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures including the use of safety equipment (PPE) and equipment safeguards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Travel between locations may be required (NY / NJ)
- Hybrid schedule Fridays remote and another day of choice
Experience you will need: Data Loss Prevention Engineer - 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- BS Degree in a Cyber Security related field.
- Extensive understanding of data classification and management.
- Experience with Azure DLP (E5) platforms.
- Preferable: Experience with Varonis.
- Fundamental knowledge of SIEM platforms.
- Forensic Cyber Security knowledge is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 11 Server 2019 / 2022).
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and abilities particularly in collaborating with other department members on solutions.
- Skills in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
