Job Description

Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

Duration: 12 Months

Client: The New York State

Location: Atlantic City New Jersey

Note: This is an onsite position by day one.

Job Description:

Deploy configure and maintain server infrastructure including virtualization technologies such as VMware.

Monitor and troubleshoot server performance issues identifying and resolving bottlenecks and ensuring high availability and uptime.

Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions ensuring business continuity in the event of hardware failure natural disaster or cyberattack.

Manage Active Directory Group Policy DNS and DHCP to ensure proper network authentication and authorization.

Install configure and maintain various enterprise applications such as Microsoft SQL Server and other lineofbusiness applications.

Collaborate with 3rd party developers business analysts and other stakeholders to ensure proper integration of systems and applications.

Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations including OS upgrades hardware replacements and cloud migrations.

Ensure security compliance by implementing security policies procedures and best practices and conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Monitor and manage network infrastructure including switches routers firewalls and load balancers to ensure proper network connectivity and performance.

Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and endusers and maintain uptodate documentation of system configurations procedures and policies.

Required Skills:

VMWare 7.0; Active Directory; Windows Server
SQL Server Dell VX Rail DellDL4300 Dell VRTXCMC Cisco UCS.
