Job Description

Position: Specification Engineer (Civil Engineer)

Location: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Salary: Negotiable (Expat Package)

About Our Client:

Our client is a key player in a consortium dedicated to delivering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabias

ambitious National Renewable Energy Program. This initiative aims to achieve a total renewable

energy capacity of 11.4 GW once fully operational

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Specification Engineer (Civil Engineer) to develop review and manage technical specifications for civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring project designs comply with industry standards client requirements and regulatory guidelines. This position requires a strong understanding of civil engineering principles materials and construction techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Specification Development:

Prepare detailed technical specifications for materials methods and construction techniques.

Ensure specifications align with project objectives industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Technical Review & Compliance:

Review project designs and drawings to ensure they meet technical specifications.

Ensure compliance with international standards client requirements and environmental regulations.

Collaboration & Coordination:

Work closely with design procurement and construction teams to ensure alignment on project requirements.

Liaise with clients contractors and regulatory bodies to address technical queries and resolve specificationrelated issues.

Material Evaluation & Selection:

Research and evaluate materials ensuring they meet quality and costeffectiveness criteria.

Develop and maintain a database of approved materials and suppliers.

Documentation & Reporting:


Prepare and update specification manuals technical reports and project documentation.

Provide detailed analysis and recommendations to stakeholders on specificationrelated matters.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on the latest advancements in civil engineering materials technologies and standards.

Implement best practices to enhance the quality and efficiency of specification processes.



Requirements

Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Master s degree or certifications in construction materials or specification management is a plus.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in specification engineering or a related role.

Proven experience in largescale construction or infrastructure projects.

Indepth knowledge of civil engineering principles construction techniques and materials.

Familiarity with international standards (e.g. ASTM BS ISO) and local regulations.

Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD Revit or similar design platforms.
