Job Description
- Specification Development: Create and maintain detailed specifications for mechanical systems components and equipment ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to define technical requirements and performance criteria for mechanical products.
- Technical Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of mechanical designs ensuring they meet specified performance safety and reliability standards. Review and assess vendor proposals and technical documentation to ensure alignment with project specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that all specifications are accurate complete and up to date. Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve product quality and performance.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers engineers and other stakeholders to ensure that specifications are integrated into project plans and timelines. Assist in the coordination of project activities ensuring that all specifications are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of specifications revisions and approvals ensuring traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements. Prepare and present technical reports and specifications to clients management and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends technologies and best practices in mechanical engineering and specification development. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices within the organization.
Requirements
Qualifications:- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on specification development and management.
- Proven experience in highpressure environments particularly in industries such as construction manufacturing or energy.
- Strong proficiency in mechanical design software and tools (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks).
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
