Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Engineer to join our team near Frankfurt. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in largescale enterprise data centre operations combined with excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with peers and engineers. This role requires a proactive individual with a solid understanding of data centre infrastructures network cabling and compliance with security standards.
Key tasks
- Manage and maintain data centre infrastructure including power cabling and active/passive network cabling (MTP/MPO).
- Use cable and network testing equipment (e.g. Fluke) to ensure optimal performance.
- Install and configure basic data centre hardware such as patch fields servers racks and switches ( rack and stack ).
- Monitor and uphold security standards within the data centre environment.
- Assist in disaster recovery operations during power failures fires or other emergencies.
- Collaborate with peers and engineers to provide updates on the status of the environment.
- Use tools such as Jira Confluence and Miro to document and track activities.

Requirements
- All applicants must be resident in Germany and based in the Frankfurt region
- English language (business fluent)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise data centre environments.
- Certifications: CCNA or equivalent certification is required.
- Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure and operations.
- Handson experience with power cabling and MTP/MPO cabling infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cable and network testing equipment (e.g. Fluke).
- Knowledge of basic installation and configuration of data centre hardware.
- Ability to comply with and maintain security standards in data centres.
- Proficiency in tools such as Jira Confluence and Miro (or similar).
- Problemsolving skills particularly in analysing and resolving issues at different network layers.
Optional
- Basic understanding of network concepts.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems at a basic level.
