Job Description
Position Title: Structural Steel Estimator
Compensation: $60000.00 $80000.00 (Partial relocation package available)
Duration: FullTime
Location: Onsite in Texas
Overview:
Our client is seeking a detailoriented and experienced Structural Steel Estimator to join their team in Texas. Reporting to the Chief Estimator this midlevel role focuses on the preparation of comprehensive estimates for structural steel components. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in structural steel construction and estimating processes with strong analytical and computer skills to support detailed project evaluations.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelors in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
- Experience Level:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in the structural steel industry in a similar role.
- Handson construction experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in understanding the methods and processes of steel fabrication and steel erection.
- Strong skills in reviewing contract drawings specifications and related project documentation.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of labor standards for structural steel components.
- Ability to evaluate vendor and subtier quotes for compliance with contract documents.
- Experience in training junior estimators or Estimators in Training positions.
