Job Description
Position: Business Analyst
Duration: 9 months
Location: Montgomery AL (onsite from day 1)

Position Description:
This position will serve as a Business Analyst for the Alabama Department of Public Health Information Technology Division. This position will work closely with the Heath Level 7 (HL7) team and business units to support public health related facilities. The HL7 team manages the Rhapsody messaging engine that processes millions of HL7 messages annually from healthcare facilities insurance companies labs and many more public health related facilities. This position will document the onboarding process for facilities assist facilities with the onboarding process which includes registration testing and troubleshooting develop and generate reports and perform system testing and document testing results. This position will also need to learn various computer languages such as XML JSON and .NET Core that will lead to some web development to support the HL7 team. A solid work history experience documenting and researching issues willingness to learn and working both independently and as a valued team member are required.
Skills Required:
- This position requires strong interpersonal and oral/written communication problemsolving critical thinking organization multitasking and professionalism.
- Experience Required:
- Typically has 3 to 5 years of relevant technical or business work experience. Proficient with MS Office (including Word Excel and PowerPoint). Proven experience with providing user support. Proficient with business processes.
Experience Preferred:
Some SQL experience is preferred.
Experience Required:
High school diploma with some college or equivalent work experience.
