Job Description
Location: 200 High Service Ave North Providence RI 02904
Shift: Nights 4x10s (21:30 07:30)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Medical Lab Technicians (MLT) for a night shift position at an acute care hospital. This contract role offers a block schedule of four 10hour shifts per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Blood Bank and Hematology with at least 3 years of experience. This position involves performing laboratory tests and procedures working with various analyzers body fluids and performing microscopy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples including blood body fluids and urine.
- Work with analyzers to process and analyze test results in areas such as Blood Bank Hematology and Chemistry.
- Microscopic examination of body fluids and urine including urinalysis (UA).
- Experience with C3 and C4 (total complement) testing.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results.
- Follow all hospital and laboratory protocols to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Experience: 3 years of laboratory experience in an outpatient and inpatient setting including experience in Blood Bank and Hematology.
- Certifications: ASCPMLT ASCPMT or ASCPMLS required.
- BLS: Not required for this position.
- Analyzer Skills: Experience with laboratory analyzers is required.
- Microscopic UA & Body Fluids: Required experience with urinalysis and handling body fluids.
- Complement Testing: Must have experience with C3 and C4 total complement.
- Weekend Requirement: None.
- OnCall Requirement: Not required.
- Block Schedule Accommodation: Not applicable for this position.

Compensation:
- Base Bill Rate: $45 per hour
- Overtime: Paid at double time
- Holiday Pay: Paid for observed holidays
- RTO: Requests for time off should not exceed one week.
