JOB TITLE: Senior Sheet Metal Mechanic
LOCATION: Wichita KS
PAY RATE: $57.00 per hour

Start Date: ASAP (pending contingencies)
Shift: Predominantly 2nd shift with some flexibility for other shifts
Summary:
Assemble and rework major structural assemblies including fuselage panels bulkheads and subassemblies to meet engineering specifications.
Perform rework on issues originating from other shops (not standard inprocess work).
Stabilize and balance jack systems and cradles before initiating skin changes.
Remove and replace skins and address major MRB (Material Review Board) repairs outside the standard shop environment.
Matchdrill detail skins/structures to engineering configurations.
Troubleshoot and perform major structural repairs per engineering directives.
Assemble install seal rig inspect and test structural/system components ensuring they meet quality and functional standards.
Utilize shop mathematics precision tools and test instruments for assembly and verification.
Maintain tools equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
Support continuous product flow by assisting and training team members at various levels.
Requirements:
10 years in heavy structure and skin change work (A&P license not required).
Must handle a high volume of tags generated during inspections focusing on MRB repairs.
Ability to pass a plate test is mandatory.
Sturdy fullcover lowheeled steeltoed shoes/boots required.
Dresses skirts and jewelry are prohibited in shop areas for safety.
Workers must be able to start immediately.
Crosstraining in inspection and SIA qualification may be required.
This role involves handson assembly and support for structural subassemblies including troubleshooting and rework.
