GC Solar is looking for an Operations Manager for a our branches your role would be multifaceted combining elements of project management team leadership and operational efficiency.
In essence your role as an Operations Manager involves ensuring that all aspects of solar projects and operations run smoothly and efficiently from initial planning to final execution and postinstallation support. Youll need a mix of technical knowledge management skills and a strong focus on customer satisfaction to succeed in this role.
OPERATIONS MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES
1. OPERATIONAL OVERSIGHT
Project management: oversee the planning execution and completion of solar projects. Ensure that projects are completed on time within budget and to the required quality standards.
Resource allocation: manage resources including personnel equipment and materials to ensure efficient project execution.
Process improvement: identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency reduce costs and increase productivity.
2. TEAM LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT
Team management: lead and manage a team of engineers technicians and other staff. This includes recruitment training and performance management.
Safety and compliance: ensure that all operations adhere to safety regulations and industry standards. Promote a culture of safety within the team.
Motivation and support: provide support and motivation to team members addressing any issues or challenges they may face.
3. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Budgeting and forecasting: develop and manage budgets for projects and operational activities. Monitor financial performance and make adjustments as needed.
Cost control: implement cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budget. Identify and address any financial discrepancies.
4. CUSTOMER AND STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
Client relations: maintain and build relationships with clients. Address client concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Stakeholder communication: coordinate with stakeholders including suppliers contractors and regulatory bodies. Ensure effective communication and collaboration.
5. REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT
Permits and licenses: ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained. Stay uptodate with local state and federal regulations.
Quality assurance: implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
6. TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION
Technology integration: stay informed about new technologies and advancements in the solar industry. Evaluate and integrate new technologies that can improve operations.
Innovation: foster a culture of innovation within the team to explore and implement new solutions and improvements.
7. REPORTING AND ANALYSIS
Performance metrics: develop and track key performance indicators (kpis) to measure the success of operations and projects.
Reporting: prepare and present reports on operational performance project status and financial metrics to senior management.
8. STRATEGIC PLANNING
Growth strategies: contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans for branch growth and expansion.
Market analysis: analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats.
9. CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND SERVICE
Aftersales service: oversee aftersales service and support to ensure customer satisfaction and address any postinstallation issues.
Troubleshooting: manage and resolve technical issues or challenges that arise during or after project completion.
RESPONSIBILITIES BREAKDOWN
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
Strong understanding of solar energy systems and related technologies to provide accurate and informed consultations.
SALES SKILLS:
Proven sales skills with the ability to generate leads present solutions and close deals.
COMMUNICATION:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and convey technical information clearly.
CUSTOMER FOCUS:
Strong focus on customer needs and satisfaction with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
ANALYTICAL SKILLS:
Ability to analyse client needs system requirements and market conditions to provide effective solutions.
