What Were Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of handson expertise with manual lathes mills and grinders.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of CNC equipment and Gcode/conversational programming.
- Blueprint Skills: Ability to interpret and work from blueprints including GD&T.
- Education: A technical degree in Machine Shop is preferred.
- Independence: Proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime including weekends and holidays as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and program NC Mills with precision.
- Set up machines and create custom fixtures for individual parts.
- Understand and apply the correct speeds and feeds for various materials and tooling.
- Conduct quality checks using precision measuring tools (OD/ID mics calipers depth mics etc.).
- Read and interpret standard and metric blueprints.
- Utilize programming software such as Esprit or MasterCam (experience preferred).
- Maintain safety standards and communicate effectively across shifts.
- Adapt to different machines and assignments based on workload demands.
