My client is a lear in Testing Inspection and Certification (TIC). They employ over 10000 people in more than 100 offices in over 40 countries across the world mainly in Europe Asia Australia USA and Latin America.
As part of their international growth the associated harmonization of their IT landscape and their strategic priority to digitize the business they are looking for a Manager Application Management within the Corporate IT management team.
As a Manager Application Management you are a key member of the Corporate IT management team and you are actively contributing to the definition and execution of the Corporate IT strategy.
You operate as the primary link between the business and Corporate IT both on a tactical and operational level. Your main priority is the management of their Corporate application landscape people management of your team and further development rollout and support of the core applications.
With your team you are a key player in making the program a success. Flow! is a multiyear business transformation based on MS Dynamics 365 backbone and fitforpurpose operational modules.
About The Role
You will combine your IT management skills with solid understanding of their specific business functions process knowledge as well as with your people management skills in order to provide direction for their DevOps teams composed from Scrum Masters Product Owners IT Business Consultants Functional Consultants Project Managers and line management stakeholders across the business.
In this role strong leadership and management skills are essential. This includes the ability to set clear goals manage workloads provide coaching and mentorship to support the team members and assess the team performance. Furthermore relationship management with their business colleagues and preferred suppliers delivery of all operational IT services related to their application landscape and structuring the work by means of developing a solid plan and coordinating all efforts crosscompany to deliver are part of your daily routine.
To drive success you are a team player result driven communicative and fully effective in applying proven software development and generic management methodologies. You work factbased and are experienced in an environment of developing software and KPIs to track progress and ultimately identify true business impact.
Key factors for success:
Deliver software solutions that enable the (international) growth the associated harmonization of their IT landscape and their strategic priority to digitize their business;
Actively contribute to the development of IT strategies/models including the development of IT consultancy project management and information management models;
Manage the endtoend support of their Corporate Application Landscape globally;
Collaborate closely with Agile teams within Corporate IT and the wider corporate organization to meet tasks and goals including meeting budgets and time lines;
Manage suppliers and stakeholders at local and central level effectively escalate concerns to management in a timely fashion for resolution support;
Interface with required functional disciplines and departments for support in realizing a stable and harmonized application landscape;
Assist the business with change management and work closely with business partners on different levels to assist with the delivery of their functional objectives;
Be prepared to carry out occasional international travel and accommodate a very varying level of work.
Do you have what it takes
Skills and knowledge:
Demonstrated leadership ownership and performance in a crossfunctional consultancy or software development and associated managerial role;
Resultfocused team player mentality with the ability to bring people along to deliver the result. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new circumstances; comfort and ability to effectively order the unknown;
Track record of coaching and managing a team of diverse and international consultants;
A handson cando and nononsense mentality;
Excellent communication and teamwork skills (English and Dutch) both verbal and written;
Excellent stakeholder management ability to read and influence peers and managers across levels of the organization.
