Job Description
Job Function / Position: Cobol System Engineer
Employment Type: Fulltime
Job Function
- This position is responsible for the development and implementation of a new mainframe system for the IBM Unisys Cobol and Fujitsu mainframe environments including COBOL85 JCL Assembler RDB NDB TreeDB Symfoware and other systems.
- To migrate to an open platform mainframe environment.
- Developed a detailed migration plan and created the necessary steps for migration.
Worked with developers architecture and management teams to ensure that the project was on budget and in line with requirements. - Provide technical guidance and support to the development team including problem
identification development methodology etc. - Prepare documentation such as system migration schematics workflow and technical
specifications. - Maintain security performance and a better UX (user experience) for the migration process.
- Train users to be ready to use the system after migration.
- The job requires daily study to keep up with industry trends and new technologies.
