Job Overview:
Carnivore Style is seeking a Senior Food Content Writer & Editor to create, edit, and oversee content related to food, with a specific focus on all things meat-related. The role involves managing a team of writers, generating fresh content ideas, and ensuring high-quality, SEO-friendly articles that align with the company's content strategy and goals.
As a key member of the editorial team, you’ll be responsible for producing and optimizing engaging food-related content, from blog articles to social media posts. If you’re a creative thinker, a food enthusiast, and a seasoned editor with a knack for storytelling, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Editing: Write, edit, and update 1-2 food-related articles daily, ensuring quality, clarity, and relevance.
- Content Strategy: Pitch fresh, trend-driven food content ideas related to news, seasonal topics, and current events.
- SEO & Evergreen Content: Update existing content to keep it fresh and optimize it for SEO performance and long-term visibility.
- Research & Development: Conduct in-depth research on food-related topics to produce well-informed, accurate, and high-quality content.
- Content Management: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, advertising content, and campaign support.
- Team Collaboration & Mentorship: Mentor junior writers, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the content team.
- Content Alignment: Ensure all content aligns with Carnivore Style’s brand voice, messaging, and target audience preferences.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in content writing and editing, preferably within the food or culinary industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Content Management Systems (CMS) and digital marketing tools.
- Core Competencies:
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices to drive organic traffic.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of current food trends and culinary techniques.
- Creative thinking and meticulous attention to detail.
