Job Description

Job Title:Senior System Developer

Location: The candidate can work from any of the client locations in Tampa FL Indianapolis IN Atlanta GA Ridgeland MS Richmond VA or Dallas TX

The Senior Systems Developer will be responsible for research analysis development and maintenance of technical documentation as well as data flows for both existing and new systems using Pentaho Data Integrator or Software AGs enterprise integration platform (EIP). If you enjoy working with a team of developers architects business analysts quality assurance analysts and business leaders to troubleshoot problems and resolve production issues this is a great match for you! For new projects and investments the Programmer Analyst will be a member of the core team to research define and develop data integrations. Key responsibilities include the development of supporting documentation for vendor problem tickets and support of internal and external customers by providing design code data analysis and dataflow from multiple sources providing detailed sourcetotarget analysis documentation and data transformation rules (using programming scripting and database languages)

Experience Required

* Bachelors degree in computer science or related; NOTE: Relevant progressively responsible work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education

* Minimum four years of experience IT programming and systems design experience. (To include systems analyst development and support of integration solutions including realtime integrations batch file integrations and EDI integrations.) Additional experience a plus

* Handson experience with all aspects of designing developing testing and implementing ETL solutions using Pentaho/Kettle and/or Software AGs enterprise integration platform (EIP)

* Demonstrate a willingness to learn and transition to new integration tools

* Experience supporting custom and thirdparty business applications as well as understanding project interdependence and systems integrations

* Ability to understand and improve systems; evaluate systems current state/practices and recommend modifications

* Ability to perform complex application testing deployment maintenance and evolution activities by correcting programming errors responding to scope changes and coding application enhancements

* Experience with Oracle DB MS SQL Server MySQL MongoDB or other database technology

* Selfstarter with ability to work independently or as part of a team

* Works effectively under pressure. Demonstrates ownership and timely responses to production problems and business unit inquiries. Skilled at multitasking and prioritizing assignments

* Able to design and develop solutions to resolve defects and production problems including the ability to document communicate and share specifications for solutions

* Excellent communication negotiation interpersonal and organizational skills

* Maintains an enthusiastic and positive approach. Challenges the status quo and contributes to change. Stretches themselves and others to move things forward

* Ability to learn and implement new and/or different technologies as well as a solid understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle concepts

* Ability to analyze define and solve problems; and demonstrate the use of good judgment and decisionmaking.

Preferred

* Experience with upgrading Pentaho a plus
