Job Description
This is a remote position.
As a Programmer Analyst specializing in Mainframe and COBOL you will be responsible for designing developing maintaining and upgrading software solutions to meet organizational requirements. You will leverage your expertise to analyze client needs recommend IT solutions and ensure the efficiency and quality of largescale IT systems. You will coordinate projects lead complex software development tasks and solve critical technical issues. Collaboration with business partners and architects will be essential to standardize solutions and optimize system performance.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement complex execution strategies for business solutions.
- Analyze design and develop software products (coding automation testing).
- Create documentation guidelines and procedures for training purposes.
- Collaborate with business partners to standardize IT solutions.
- Identify and resolve complex operational and conceptual problems during major incidents.
- Lead software package installations testing and inhouse application deployments.
Skillset:
5 years of experience in COBOL
5 Years of experience in JCL
Minimum 3 years of experience in IMS or DB2 database
CICS or IMS transaction system knowledge is preferred
CLIST/ REXX scripting knowledge is a plus
5 Years of development experience is preferred
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of French (preferred but optional).
- Other combinations of qualifications and experience may be considered.
