Responsibilities Lead the design and development of mainframe solutions using IBM Mainframe Utilities VSAM JCL DB2 and COBOL. Oversee the implementation of technical projects ensuring adherence to best practices and company standards. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Ensure the performance reliability and scalability of mainframe applications through rigorous testing and optimization. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues minimizing downtime and ensuring seamless operations. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all technical processes and solutions. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards. Stay updated with the latest advancements in mainframe technologies and incorporate them into existing solutions. Participate in project planning and estimation providing accurate timelines and resource requirements. Communicate effectively with stakeholders providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements in all technical implementations. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies. Qualifications Possess a strong background in IBM Mainframe Utilities VSAM JCL DB2 and COBOL. Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Exhibit strong communication skills both written and verbal to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
