Job Description: Electronics Technician
Monday to Thursday 10 hour shifts 5:00am to 3:30pm
BR/hour
***Must be able to pass soldering test and electronics test.
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provide technical expertise in performing customer nonconforming product evaluation test troubleshoot and repair of field test failure as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnose problems using the correct test equipment.
Troubleshoot to the component level.
Test to the unit level and PCB level.
Interpret schematics and drawings.
Perform modification skills on a technical level.
Typing ability to complete forms electronically.
Work with a minimum amount of supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
An Associate s Degree or Certificate in Electronics Technology from a twoyear college or technical school or related experience/ or training in the field or on the bench Specialized equipment used in this job
Must have a thorough understanding of analog and digital circuits. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot to the component level.
Passing score on the WABTEC Technician Test.
Knowledge of analog and digital circuits.
Possess excellent soldering skills in both through hole and/ or surface Digital Volt Meters Frequency Counters Spectrum Analyzers and all appropriate troubleshooting general purpose equipment.
Computer skills.
OTHER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings schematics test procedures and engineering specifications.
Technical writing skills required for internal and external documentation.
Ability to communicate on a technical level with engineers customers and coworkers.
Ability to apply commonsense and logical progression to problem solving challenges.
Ability to comprehend instructions specifications and policies communicated in written oral and/ or diagram form.
