The Senior Risk Specialist under the responsibility of the Head of Risk he or she ensures the effective operation of the risk management system executing the risk and governance program and maintaining an organizationwide and aggregated view on the companys risk profile. The Senior Risk Specialist Quantitative will be in charge of the following tasks:
Solvency II Pilar 1: Collaborates and coordinates with the 1st line Actuarial teams the senior Risk Specialist provides independent review on the internal model calculations assumptions and the Solvency position;
Solvency II Pilar 3: Acts as process owner for the q uantitative and n arrative risk reporting (QRT ORSA RSR and SFCR) for both Luxembourg and Liechtenstein entities;
He or She ensure s close coordination and collaboration with the Data Owners and performs reviews controls and validations before submission of the QRT to the regulators:
With support of the other Risk team members and the input from the Data Owners he or she maintains and develops the annual ORSA and narrative risk reporting (SFCR RSR) for both Life and NonLife entities;
A ctuarial pricing and underwriting risk control advisory and oversight
Collaborates with the 1st line Pricing teams to ensure adequate methodologies calculation methods and controls are applied and executed by the pricing teams;
Collaborates with the 1st line Underwriting team to ensure adequate exposure management oversight and mechanisms are in place;
Financial Risk Management control advisory and oversight incl. Asset and Liability r isk Credit risk Liquidity r isk and Investment risk;
Risk Appetite preferences and limits: Supports the maintenance and review of the Company s risk appetite preferences and limits as well as supports the design and the monitoring of key risk indicators (KRIs);
Risk Support and Advisory: Supports first line risk owners in consistently applying the Risk Management Framework to identify assess manage monitor and report all material risk;
Risk Culture: Promotes a strong risk awareness and risk culture across the company;
Additional Risk Activities :
Asset Liability Committee / Risk Committee (ALCORICO): Assists the Head of Risk in the preparation of the agenda collect and prepare the supporting documentation and write the minutes ;
Performs adhoc analysis quality reviews and deep dives ;
Maintains and develop policies based on the applicable governance framework ;
Support other team members on Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Control activities.
What we expect :
Master s degree in Actuarial Risk Management Mathematics Finance or equivalent;
4 5 years of experience in a similar position preferably in the insurance sector is desirable;
Strong reporting skills high degree of independence affinity with financial markets actuarial calculations and insurance concepts (Life and NonLife);
Significant risk management experience and understanding of local and SII regulatory framework;
Experience in writing internal policies documenting processes risk and controls ;
Fluent in English and French. German is considered as an asset in the communication with Head Office;
Strong analytical skills. Detailoriented and ability to interpret figures and other actuarial and financial information;
Team player flexible ability to work in a fast paced environment;
Excellent communication and presentation skills;
Excellent IT skills in particular MS Excel Word and PowerPoint.
