Functional Safety Engineer Software

Job Description

Primary Requirement:

1) 5 Years of experience in Automotive embedded electronics ECU development domain. Design and development of Electric and Electronic system functions.
2) Long term expertise on Automotive Functional Safety Standard ISO26262 Part 6 mainly (knowledge of Part 3 Concept phase Part 4 System phase desirable).

3) Must have performed indepth Safety analysis like HARA Impact Analysis FMEA FMEDA FTA DFA (Dependent Failure Analysis) etc at the System/SW/HW level as applicable.
4) Strong work experience in Embedded C development. Application SW with MATLAB or BSW development.
5) Good analytical reasoning and technical documentation skills.

6) Responsible for developing & implementing safety requirements.
7) Education: BE/BTech minimum bachelor of electronics engineering with focus in automotive software development.
Good to have FSCP Level 1 certification & hands on experience on any tool for ISO26262 like ENCO SOX Ansys medini analyze APIS IQRM etc.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
1) Supporting FSM (Functional Safety Manager) & PM(Project Manager) throughout the execution of the Safety critical project. (New Project proposals Safety plan Safety Case technical & confirmation reviews etc).
2) Coordinate the safety activities (ISO26262 Part 2 Part3 Part4 Part5 and Part 6 along with reviews & supporting processes). 3) Working with various Component teams to define Technical safety requirements and Software Safety requirements.
4) Coordinating with the client for ISO26262 Work Products.
5) Responsible for development review of the Concept System and Software levels work products of the ISO26262 standard.
6) Process knowhow of safetycritical projects V & Agile lifecycle processes Safety lifecycle execution reviews CMMI 3 ASPICE processes as well.
7) Quick learner & motivated to apply good engineering practices to make E/E products safe.
