1. Research and Development (R&D):
Lead endtoend product development from concept to commercialization.
Innovate and formulate new products aligned with market trends and company strategy.
Conduct ingredient research and recommend alternatives for cost nutrition or sustainability improvements.
Develop and validate product prototypes recipes and processes through lab and pilotscale trials.
2. New Product Development (NPD):
Own the NPD pipeline ensuring a steady flow of differentiated products.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (marketing supply chain operations) for seamless product launches.
Lead sensory testing consumer feedback analysis and optimization of product formulations.
3. Quality and Compliance:
Ensure all products meet food safety standards certifications and regulatory requirements (FSSAI and international where applicable).
Maintain documentation for regulatory audits and product certifications.
Optimize product shelf life and packaging solutions for durability and costefficiency.
4. Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management:
Build and lead a highperforming R&D and NPD team.
Collaborate with external partners suppliers and academic institutions for cuttingedge innovation.
Regularly update the leadership team on project progress and milestones. Manager customer complaints pertaining to product quality and assurance
5. Market Insight and Innovation:
Stay updated on industry trends competitor activities and consumer preferences.
Integrate market insights to anticipate and respond to emerging opportunities.
Drive sustainable innovation by exploring cleanlabel functional and plantbased product trends.
Key Requirements:
Education: Masters or Ph.D. in Food Technology Food Science or related field.
Experience:
10 years in R&D/NPD roles within FMCG preferably in the food/beverage sector.
Proven success in launching commercially successful products.
Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of ingredients formulations and processing techniques.
Expertise in sensory evaluation nutrition and regulatory compliance.
Leadership project management and problemsolving abilities.
