Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Control (QC) Manager to oversee all aspects of quality assurance within our sheet metal and fabrication operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality control methodologies a keen eye for detail and the ability to lead and inspire a team of quality professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy aligned with company goals and industry standards.
- Establish and maintain a robust quality management system (QMS) to ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and other relevant certifications.
- Continuously monitor and improve the effectiveness of the QMS.
- Quality Control Processes:
- Oversee incoming inspection of raw materials components and purchased parts.
- Monitor and control inprocess quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
- Conduct final product inspections to ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Implement and maintain effective quality control procedures including documentation recordkeeping and reporting.
- Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action:
- Investigate and analyze quality issues identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement effective corrective action plans.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of quality control inspectors and technicians.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the teams skills and knowledge.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Customer Satisfaction:
- Work closely with customers to understand their quality requirements and expectations.
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable industry regulations standards and certifications (e.g. ISO 9001 AS9100 etc.).
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Industrial or Manufacturing) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality control role within the sheet metal or fabrication industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies tools and techniques.
- Experience with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using quality control software and tools.
