Job Description:
- Reason for coverage: Open position with a need for coverage.
- Coverage schedule: 12 weeks per month. Must be available a full 7 days in a row.
- Weekly schedule: Monday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM including night and weekend call
- Weekday hours: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Weekend call: Starts Friday at 4:30 PM and ends Monday at 7:00 AM.
- Evening call: Starts at 4:30 PM and ends the following morning at 7:30 AM.
- The provider would be in house Monday Friday 7:30am4:30pm take call MondayFriday for the night shift and then take weekend call through Monday morning.
- Average inpatient admissions per physician per day: Approximately 10 depending on inpatient consults.
- Total number of beds: 256.
- Number of ICU beds: 20.
- Cardiologists in the group: 3 noninvasive cardiologists.
- Other cardiologists will be present during locum coverage.
- Locum physician will supervise residents and medical students.
- Patient age demographic: 18 years and older.
- Documentation system/EMR: Currently Flex and Merge Cardio.
- Required procedures: Echocardiography Transesophageal Echocardiography Electrocardiograms (EKGs) and stress echo.
Requirement description :
- Board Certified in Cardiology Required
- Active NY license Required
- BLS ACLS Required

Weekend Requirements : weekend call starts Friday 4:30pm through Monday 7:00am evening call starts at 4:30pm until the following morning at 7:30am
