Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Manassas Virginia
Key Responsibilities:
Design configure and implement robust network solutions to meet business needs.
Monitor and maintain network performance reliability and security across LAN WAN and wireless networks.
Perform network troubleshooting and resolve connectivity issues promptly.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support network upgrades migrations and installations.
Manage and optimize network hardware including routers switches firewalls and load balancers.
Implement and maintain network security measures including firewalls VPNs and intrusion prevention systems.
Conduct capacity planning and recommend system enhancements to ensure scalability.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations processes and network topology.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices to improve network efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
5 years of handson experience as a Network Engineer.
Expertise in networking protocols such as TCP/IP OSPF BGP MPLS and VLANs.
Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco Juniper or similar network equipment.
Strong understanding of firewalls VPNs IDS/IPS and wireless technologies.
Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds Wireshark or Nagios.
Familiarity with cloud networking solutions (e.g. AWS Azure or GCP).
Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
CCNA CCNP or equivalent certifications.
Experience with SDWAN technologies.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash) for network automation.
Experience with VoIP and QoS configuration.
