Director of Finance needed in an International School in Hyderabad.
Immediate Joining
Role The Director of Finance (DOF) oversees all aspects of the school s financial operations including accounting budgeting and financial planning. They assist the Head of School in formulating and implementing financial policies and strategies ensuring the school s fiscal health and compliance with applicable regulations.
Responsibilities:
Budget Preparation and Management:
Develop budget assumptions and guidelines in collaboration with the Risk and Finance Committee. Coordinate and consolidate budget requests and program proposals from cost centres. Draft and present the annual operating and capital expenditure budgets for Board approval. o Assist the SLT in budget execution recommending administrative controls where necessary.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Engage in longterm financial planning projecting school revenue expenditures reserves and tuition/fee adjustments for five years. Conduct financial analyses to support strategic decisionmaking. Provide financial insights to the Head of School SLT and Board.
Financial Operations and Controls:
Oversee all accounting functions including revenue expenditures banking investments and tax compliance. Supervise payroll processing accounts payable procurement and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with applicable laws regulations and Board policies.
Audit and Compliance:
Coordinate the annual audit including drafting the scope of work and supporting independent auditors. Maintain a continuous auditing program for all funds and recommend improvements in financial controls. Ensure the accounting systems comply with applicable regulations and internal policies.
Insurance and Risk Management:
Review and manage the school s insurance policies ensuring adequate coverage of assets and liabilities.
Collaborate with the Head of School on fundraising initiatives and other financial projects.
Qualifications Skills and Experience:
Qualified CA and Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field.
15 years of experience in finance accounting or financial management preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
Strong knowledge of financial planning budgeting accounting principles and financial regulations.
Excellent analytical organizational and leadership skills with the ability to drive financial strategy.
Strong problemsolving abilities attention to detail and ability to manage complex financial data.
Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with administrators faculty and staff. Familiarity with financial software systems and tools (e.g. Tally ERP accounting systems etc).
