RESPONSABILIT S

Enseigner l anglais et la litt rature anglaise au coll ge et au lyc e dans les sections internationales britanniques

Concevoir et mettre en uvre des situations d apprentissage ou d enseignement dans le cadre des r f rentiels et programmes fran ais ainsi que d un programme adoss Cambridge (SI IGCSE)

Pr parer les l ves aux examens de fin d ann e (brevet des coll ges avec option section internationale IGCSE)

Transmettre des connaissances disciplinaires

Concevoir et mettre en uvre des modalit s d valuation des acquis des l ves en liaison avec les autres enseignants

Faire acqu rir des comp tences incluant des capacit s des attitudes et des savoirfaire

Ma triser la conduite dune classe et susciter lint r t et la participation des l ves

Assurer un suivi personnalis des l ves en lien avec les familles et participer leur projet d orientation

Contribuer au fonctionnement de l tablissement et au travail d quipe

Adapter son enseignement la diversit des l ves en apportant chacun lappui n cessaire et mesurer leurs acquis

Utiliser des technologies de linformation et de la communication au service des apprentissages.

COMP TENCES EXP RIENCE ET FORMATION REQUISES

Titulaire d un dipl me dans l ducation ou quivalent (Master PGCE PGDE CAPES )

Avoir comme langue maternelle l anglais.

Ma trise du programme IGCSE exig e

Exp rience dans l enseignement au niveau secondaire (coll ge et lyc e) et notamment sur un cycle Terminal souhait e

La connaissance du syst me ducatif fran ais est un avantage.

JOB TITLE : ENGLISH LITERATURE & LANGUAGE TEACHER

MISSION

The main mission of the teacher is to guide students in their development providing them with the tools to learn how to think critically understand the world in which they live and develop their ability to express ideas and build concepts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach English and English literature at the middle school and high school levels in the British international sections.

Design and implement teaching and learning activities based on the French curricula and a program aligned with Cambridge (SI IGCSE).

Prepare students for endofyear exams (Dipl me National du Brevet with international section option IGCSE).

Impart disciplinary knowledge.

Design and implement methods of assessing students achievements in collaboration with other teachers.

Help students acquire competencies including cognitive skills attitudes and practical knowhow.

Manage the classroom effectively fostering students interest and participation.

Provide personalized support for students working closely with families and assisting in their academic and career orientation.

Contribute to the functioning of the institution and the teamwork efforts.

Adapt teaching to the diversity of students providing individual support and assessing their progress.

Use information and communication technology (ICT) to support learning.

REQUIRED SKILLS EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

A degree in education or equivalent (Master s PGCE PGDE CAPES etc.).

Native proficiency in English.

Strong knowledge of the IGCSE curriculum is required.

Experience teaching at the secondary level (middle school and high school) especially at the terminal level is preferred.

Familiarity with the French education system is an advantage.

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsiveness availability and adaptability.

Ability to be empathetic and supportive.

Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Strong ability to work in a team and invest in educational projects.

Experience as a form tutor and/or in student orientation is appreciated.

Proficiency with digital tools and technology.

Ability to teach both Frenchspeaking and nonFrenchspeaking students.

Ability to adapt teaching to a highly diverse group of students.

Ability to work crossdisciplinarily and in a collaborative team.

French language proficiency (B1 or higher) is appreciated to facilitate communication with families.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Fulltime position (18 hours per week).

Salary based on qualifications experience and the IFS salary scale.

Start date: January 2025.
